Jacqueline: “Having worked as a holistic therapist and dance teacher for 20 years, I have seen the effects of stress, illness and pain, both physical and emotional. I often thought how much I would like to offer people a therapeutic break from their everyday lives.
While supporting people in bereavement with CRUSE in England, I realised what many grieving people craved, as well as someone understanding to listen to them, was peace and quiet to try to come to terms with their loss and soothe their sadness.”
Martin: “Having spent 27 years working in London the pressure and stress was beginning to take its toll. After Jacqueline and I were married, we decided to re-evaluate our lives. I left my job and became a Personal Trainer with the aim of understanding how to introduce sustainable and enjoyable exercise programmes to people with busy working lives. Over the last few years I have deepened my own yoga practice and decided to obtain a teaching qualification so that I could offer our guests the yoga experience that I myself have enjoyed here in the beautiful natural surroundings of Silvana.”
Ruby: “Ruby is our rescue dog. Now an integral part of the Silvana experience, she loves to accompany guests sunbathing by the pool or wandering in the garden. She is also quite partial to a bit of yoga on the deck!”
